diy inspiration: metal statement jewelry

you guys, i just saw the date of my last post – 2 months ago! how?!?! it has been incredibly tricky for me to balance work, relaxation time, social life and carving out time to brainstorm, prep, and shoot projects for the blog. i’ve got a dozen started posts at this point so it’s just about finishing them at this point! but i promise i’m going to be better!

around the web i’ve seeing a major fashion trend in the statement earring with architectural shapes and i totally love it. i’ve never been a big jewelry wearer and probably only own like 5 necklaces and a few bracelets that are more heirlooms but i do love earrings – though, fun fact, i got my ears pierced at age 17 because i was so scared of needles!

aren’t these the coolest?! they’re just a bit out of my price range so i spy a diy project in my future! what do you think? do you like the statement earring trend? or is it a little too much?
