today i am so excited to share something that recently happened to me. so a few weeks ago i was notified that i was the winner in sfgirlbybay’s giveaway sponsored by h for hannah! i gasped in complete shock and was thrilled beyond words!
if you’re not familiar, h for hannah was launched in 2008 by hannah morrow, a uk-born and los angeles based designer who studied 3D design at camberwell school of art in london with a specialty in bone china. all of the pieces in her shop are 100% handmade by a small family run manufacturer in the uk that utilizes techniques that span hundreds of years. each piece is made with exceptional quality and the designs are so simple yet incredibly elegant, truly a pleasure to behold.
when i opened my box it was like christmas morning, i unwrapped each package carefully and was just amazed how beautiful each piece was in person.
i just love the simple yet sculptural design of each piece, i’m almost afraid to use them so maybe i’ll just display them as art for a little while 😉
the london vase i gave as a gift to my sister, also happened to be named hannah, who recently returned from a study abroad trip in london
overall, i think i was so excited about this is because these pieces are really the first expensive and nice thing i’ve owned. i feel like such an adult! thanks for letting me share and i encourage all of you to take a look at her lovely shop.
other items shown on my shelf include an amazing buffalo art made by my talented boyfriend, my beloved vintage finds (scores): milk glass vases, brass canisters, striped bowl and owl figurine, my design bibles: styled by emily henderson and the new bohemians by justina blakeney and holiday tree from target
also my bedroom gets the most heavenly light, it makes me so happy!
note: i am not receiving additional compensation for this post, besides what my initial giveaway win included. all opinions and statements are either factual or purely my own. thanks!
